Curran Hatleberg
Curran Hatleberg was born in 1982 in Washington, D.C. and received his MFA from Yale University in 2010. His work has recently been on view in the 2019 Whitney Biennial as well as the exhibitions The Half-Life of Love (2017) at MASS MoCA, Converging to a Center (2017) at Wesleyan’s Davison Art Center, and The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (2015) at Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco. Hatleberg’s work is held in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Center for Contemporary Photography, the Davison Art Center, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Williams College Museum of Art, and the Yale University Art Gallery. Somewhere Someone, a collaborative artist book with Cynthia Daignault, was published by Hassla Books in Fall 2017. Hatleberg’s first monograph Lost Coast, was published by TBW Books in Fall 2016. He lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland. Hatleberg has had two solo exhibitions at Higher Pictures (2016 and 2017-18), as well as an upcoming solo booth at Paris Photo 2020 (postponed due to COVID-19).
